Recycled Tanks,
Renewed Purpose
We buy, sell, recondition, and recycle intermediate bulk containers. Every tank we save from the landfill is a win for your business and the planet.
How It Works
Getting started with Salt Lake IBC is simple. Whether you need to buy reconditioned totes or sell your used containers, our streamlined four-step process makes it effortless from first call to final delivery.
Contact Us
Reach out by phone, email, or our online form. Tell us what you need — whether that is buying reconditioned IBCs, selling your used totes, scheduling a pickup, or arranging a custom solution. Our team responds within hours, not days, and we will give you a clear quote with no hidden fees or surprise charges.
We Assess Your Needs
Our specialists evaluate your requirements in detail. For buyers, we match you with the right grade and capacity of IBC for your specific application. For sellers, we inspect your containers and provide a fair market offer on the spot. We factor in volume, condition, previous contents, and logistics to ensure you get the best deal possible.
We Deliver or Pick Up
Once everything is confirmed, we handle all the logistics. Buyers get their IBCs delivered directly to their facility on our fleet of flatbed trucks, with flexible scheduling that fits your operations. Sellers enjoy free pickup service across the Wasatch Front and beyond. We load, haul, and handle everything so you do not have to lift a finger.
Ongoing Support
Our relationship does not end at delivery. We provide ongoing support including scheduled recurring orders, seasonal inventory planning, maintenance tips, and priority access for repeat customers. Many of our clients set up standing monthly orders so they never run out of containers. We become a reliable extension of your supply chain.
The Complete IBC Lifecycle
From sourcing to reconditioning to delivery, we handle every step of the IBC journey so you get reliable containers while reducing environmental waste.
Industries We Serve
From farm fields to factory floors, our reconditioned and new IBC totes support a wide range of industries across Utah and the Intermountain West. No matter your sector, we have the right container solution for your bulk liquid and dry material storage needs.
Agriculture & Farming
Farmers and ranchers rely on our IBCs for storing fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and liquid feed supplements. Our food-grade reconditioned totes are perfect for irrigation water storage, and our heavy-duty cages withstand the rough handling of daily farm operations.
Food & Beverage
Our FDA-compliant food-grade IBCs are trusted by food processors, juice manufacturers, syrup producers, and cooking oil distributors throughout the region. Every container undergoes our rigorous triple-wash process to meet strict food safety standards and HACCP requirements.
Chemical Manufacturing
Chemical companies depend on our UN-rated IBCs for safe transport and storage of acids, solvents, detergents, and industrial chemicals. We provide containers with proper compatibility certifications and ensure every unit meets DOT transportation standards for hazardous materials.
Pharmaceutical
Pharmaceutical and biotech firms require the highest standards of cleanliness and traceability. Our new and rigorously reconditioned IBCs meet pharmaceutical-grade specifications for storing purified water, excipients, and non-active ingredients used in drug manufacturing processes.
Construction
Construction crews use our IBCs for water storage on remote job sites, dust suppression, concrete mixing, and storing sealants and coatings. Our rugged reconditioned totes handle the demands of construction environments and are easy to move with forklifts across uneven terrain.
Landscaping & Nurseries
Landscapers and garden centers use our IBCs for bulk water transport, liquid fertilizer storage, and even as converted raised garden beds and planters. Our upcycled garden products are especially popular with nurseries looking for durable, eco-friendly growing containers at affordable prices.
Water Treatment
Municipal water treatment plants and private water companies use our IBCs for storing treatment chemicals such as sodium hypochlorite, coagulants, and pH adjustment solutions. We supply both new and reconditioned containers that meet the strict standards of the water treatment industry.
Brewing & Distilling
Utah's growing craft brewing and distilling scene uses our food-grade IBCs for storing grain wash, transporting wort, holding cleaning solutions, and managing wastewater. Our reconditioned totes offer a cost-effective alternative to stainless steel vessels for non-critical storage applications.
Oil & Energy
Energy companies and oilfield service providers use our IBCs for storing lubricants, hydraulic fluids, antifreeze, and non-hazardous petroleum products. Our containers are built to handle the rigors of oilfield environments and are available in both standard and heavy-duty cage configurations.
Automotive & Fleet
Auto shops, fleet maintenance facilities, and car washes use our IBCs for bulk storage of coolants, windshield washer fluid, degreasers, and waste oil collection. Buying in bulk via IBCs rather than small drums dramatically reduces per-gallon costs and packaging waste for high-volume automotive operations.
Sustainability Isn't a Buzzword.
It's Our Business Model.
Every IBC tote we recondition saves approximately 58 kg of CO2 emissions compared to manufacturing a new one. That's the equivalent of driving 145 miles in a standard car.
Our closed-loop process ensures that 97% of every IBC we handle is either reused directly, recycled into new materials, or repurposed into products like garden planters and rain collection systems.
When you choose Salt Lake IBC, you're not just buying a container — you're investing in a circular economy that keeps industrial materials out of landfills and reduces demand for virgin plastic and steel.
Our Products
From standard 275-gallon reconditioned totes to custom-built garden solutions, we have the right IBC for every need.
Our Facility
Located in the heart of Woods Cross, Utah, our purpose-built facility is designed to handle every aspect of IBC reconditioning, storage, and distribution at industrial scale.
Our 15,000 square foot facility at 1199 W 2425 S in Woods Cross sits on over 2 acres of land, giving us ample outdoor yard space for staging, inventory storage, and truck loading operations. The location was strategically chosen for its proximity to I-15, providing fast access to Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo, and the entire Wasatch Front corridor.
Inside, the facility is divided into dedicated zones for receiving, inspection, cleaning, reconditioning, and quality assurance. Our triple-wash bay can process up to 80 IBCs per day using our proprietary three-stage cleaning system that includes hot water pressure washing, chemical sanitization, and a final rinse cycle. Each cleaned container is then moved to our inspection area where technicians check for structural integrity, valve condition, and overall quality before it is cleared for resale.
The outdoor yard holds over 1,500 IBCs at any given time, organized by grade, condition, and previous contents. This deep inventory means we can fill large orders quickly without lead times. Our loading dock accommodates full-size semi-trailers, and we maintain a fleet of flatbed trucks for local and regional deliveries.
We have invested heavily in environmental controls including a closed-loop water reclamation system that recycles 90% of our wash water, spill containment throughout the facility, and proper waste handling for any residual contents we encounter during the reconditioning process.
Certifications & Standards
Quality and safety are non-negotiable. Salt Lake IBC operates in compliance with industry-leading standards and certifications, so you can trust that every container we deliver meets the highest benchmarks for your application.
ISO 9001:2015
Quality Management
Our quality management system is aligned with ISO 9001:2015 standards, ensuring consistent processes from intake inspection through final delivery. Every reconditioned IBC passes through documented quality checkpoints before it reaches your facility.
EPA Compliant
Environmental Protection
We operate in full compliance with EPA regulations for waste handling, water discharge, and recycling operations. Our closed-loop wash water system and proper residual disposal protocols meet or exceed all federal and state environmental requirements.
DOT Certified
Transportation Safety
All IBCs we sell for transporting regulated materials carry proper DOT and UN markings. We verify that containers meet Department of Transportation standards for safe transport of liquids, including proper labeling, pressure ratings, and structural integrity.
FDA Food-Grade
Food Safety Standards
Our food-grade reconditioned IBCs comply with FDA regulations under 21 CFR for food-contact surfaces. Our cleaning protocols follow food safety guidelines, and we maintain full traceability records for every food-grade container we process and sell.
